Many web sites contain student work and some are partially built with student labor. Most of these web sites have very strict supervision and the students do not have the freedom to design what they want. Since students typically are very unique, a web site almost totally built by students would more than likely violate a lot of design rules.

Crane, TX - Crane ISD is as good an example of student built as I have seen to date. CraneISD.com is a refreshing and sometimes frustrating example of student design. Great credit needs to be given to the administration and staff for allowing the students to truly design their own pages.

I hope that other schools can take this example and open at least parts of their site up to students.
